Canal+ Group to acquire additional 9.9% stake in Canal+ France from TF1 Deal In Brief

Canal+ Group has signed a definitive agreement to acquire an additional 9.9% stake in the capital of Canal+ France from Groupe TF1, a television channel. The transaction is valued at EUR744 million and is expected to close by December 31, 2009. All the entities are based in France.
Canal+ Group is a film and television studio and distributor and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vivendi SA. Upon completion, Canal+ Group will increase its stake in Canal+ France from 65% to 75%.
Nomura International Plc is acting as financial advisor to Vivendi.
